YakimaYoga Classes

Our classes offer something for everyone.  Our teachers instruct each pose from modified to more demanding levels, and students are encouraged to find a level that they can perform with ease.  Beginning to intermediate level students are welcome to all our classes, as well as more advanced students.

We teach the yogic principle of non-harming by modeling modifications for postures and guiding students through self-awareness.  In all classes, please notify the instructor if there are any injuries.

Pricing
Effective July 1, 2010 our prices will reflect a slight increase. Our drop in rate will increase to $13 and our 6 class
punch card to $65. Punch cards are valid for 90 days from date of purchase and are non-transferable. Previously purchased punch cards will expire October 31, 2010.

Level 1
A well-rounded yoga practice emphasizing alignment and breathing, appropriate for beginners as well as those wishing to return to the fundamentals of yoga.

Levels 1 & 2
This all levels practice accommodates beginners as well as seasoned practitioners. Modifications are suggested for those newer to the practice of yoga as well as encouragement for those who wish to explore the postures on a deeper level. Classes will focus on refining breathing and meditation techniques, alignment and safe progression to inversions.

Flow Yoga
Flow Yoga follows the flow of breath through sequences of interweaving asanas (postures) that change from class to class.   Participants should be comfortable with basic yoga poses and expect lots of movement.  Asana sequences may include standing and seated postures, sun salutations, forward bending, backbending and inversions. Please notify the instructor if you have any injuries.

"The cyclic flow is like a river.  As all flowing rivers find peace in the ocean where they lose their name and form."  Upanishads

Gentle Yoga
This class is designed to maintain a healthy spine as we age. Postures are modified to meet the needs of those who are brand new to yoga, may have health-related issues, and are curious about yoga, but unsure of where to start.  Yoga improves muscle strength, balance and flexibility; making falls and fractures less likely, and teaches us breathing techniques to quiet the mind, reduce tension and RELAX!

Pre-natal
Gina will guide you and your baby-to-be through a series of poses to calm the mind and energize the body. Modifications will be made depending on your yoga experience and stage in your pregnancy.

Remember that Yoga is a progressive, non-competitive form of exercise!
