Community Yoga
This is an opportunity for the greater Yakima Community to experience the benefits of yoga at a reduced cost. All levels welcome. Suggested $5 donation.
Kid’s Yoga
To Bring: comfortable clothes, water, mat
(or you can borrow a mat)
Cost: $13 per family per class
or buy a 6-class punch card for $65
Registration: Drop-in. Please arrive 10 min. early to your first session.
Kids ages 4-8 learn the basics of yoga postures, breathing, and relaxation in a fun, non-competitive environment. Parents are welcome and encouraged to participate. Gina Ord, MS, OTR/L, has worked with kids for over 15 years in a variety of settings.

Experience the power of meditation in action. Unite locally, with the Yakima Yoga community in 108 Sun Salutations led by Celisa, to help promote peace and consciousness world wide. The global mala is an offering to further the United Nations International Peace Day. People from around the world will participate to form a "mala around the earth" through collective practices based upon the sacred cycle of 108. Mala is the name of the sacred prayer beads used in India and Tibet. They are composed of 108 beads.
Yakima Yoga's Global Mala event is dedicated to practice and seva - service by integrating local action. Yakima Yoga will donate all proceeds from the event to the Yakima Youth Suicide Prevention Program.
Yakima Community Yoga Teacher Practice
Date: Tuesday October 19th,
Time: 6-8pm
Cost: No cost; open to all certified yoga instructors or those pursuing certification who live in central Washington
This is a time for the yoga teachers of the community to come together to practice yoga, learn from each other, and form connections. A 1-hour class led by Gina will be followed by discussion and hands-on practice.
Chakra Workshop
Date: Saturday October 9th,
Time: 4-6 pm
Cost: $25 or 2 punches
Chakras — The Seven Main Energy Centers of The Body. Sarah will emphasize poses which bring awareness to the opening of the chakra. This encourages our energy centers to freely bring us into balance and harmony thereby creating physical, mental, and emotional well being.
